  1. Choose a custom domain name. Example: app.yourdomain.com

  2. Choose your custom API domain name. Example: api.yourdomain.com

  3. Add the above CNAME records to your DNS, pointing the custom sub domain app.yourdomain.com to “app-us-1.we-connect.io" and api.yourdomain.com to “api-us-1.we-connect.io"

Here are some instructions for setting up CNAME records in various popular DNS services.

4. Input your custom App domain and API domain in two fields on our Whitelabel setup page and apply. Please see the screenshot below.

As We-Connect runs in secure(https) mode we generate an SSL certificate for your custom domain. If you have an SSL set up through Cloudflare we recommend to disable the orange cloud / SSL for Cloudflare and just use the SSL on our side. Otherwise we likely won't be able to generate/renew the cert and your custom domain will not work or will stop working in the future.

Upon receiving the first request to https://app.yourdomain.com, we'll request an SSL certificate from Let's Encrypt. This process takes anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes, so don't be surprised if the first request doesn't work.
