Here are some tips to get the best results while creating and saving a LinkedIn search on We-Connect.

How many contacts can you import per search?

We recommend creating and saving searches yielding a maximum of:

  • 2500 contacts per search (if using Sales Navigator).

  • 1000 contacts per search (if using free LinkedIn).

If you have more contacts in your search than indicated above, please narrow your search based on filters like geography, industry, company size, job function, job title, seniority level, etc.

The reason for this restriction is because:

  • Sales Navigator displays a maximum of of 2,500 contacts regardless of the number of contacts it shows in the search results. You can view only up to 100 pages, each with 25 contacts.

  • Free LinkedIn displays a maximum of 1,000 contacts regardless of the number of contacts it shows on the search result. You can only view up to 40 pages with 25 contacts on each page.

How many searches can I import each day?

Free LinkedIn users can save only one search per day using a LinkedIn URL. However, you can get around this requirement by importing lists via a CSV file.

Premium LinkedIn users can save up to two searches per day using the LinkedIn URL method. You can also import more contacts via a CSV file.

Only one search can be saved at a time. We-Connect will not save a new search until the current search has been fully processed and saved.

Sales Navigator filters

If you use keywords or many filters in your Sales Navigator search, we recommend saving the search and copying and pasting the saved search URL into We-Connect.

The reasoning behind this is that a custom search URL contains many parameters in the URL that can break while copying and pasting. We recommend saving the search on Sales Navigator and using the saved search URL, which contains only one parameter and provides accurate results.

How many searches can I save per day?

To stay within LinkedIn's guidelines, avoid saving multiple searches to We-Connect within the same day.

All types of LinkedIn accounts (including Sales Navigator accounts) have search limits that reset every 24 hours.

Why is there a difference in search results count compared to LinkedIn

There could be multiple reasons your saved We-Connect search has a different number of contacts:

  1. The search result count you see on LinkedIn includes profiles without names. Any LinkedIn accounts named 'LinkedIn Member' (most commonly seen with free LinkedIn accounts) will not be synced to We-Connect.

  2. You could be using a Sales Navigator search URL rather than saving that list and using the saved list URL. Too many advanced filters can break while copying and pasting that list into We-Connect (this does not happen when importing a saved list). Learn how to save a list of Sales Navigator here.

  3. Ensure the connection degree (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) matches the type of contacts on the list.

  4. If you manage multiple LinkedIn profiles, ensure that you are not using a Sales Navigator URL on a profile that does not have a Sales Navigator subscription.

Why is my search not loading?

There are a few possible reasons your search might not be loading:

  1. Check your sleep hours. If it is during your set sleep mode, the search will not populate.

  2. If there are pending activities in the queue, loading search results may take longer. To speed up the process, open the saved search results page directly.

  3. Ensure your LinkedIn account is active in We-Connect. If you have two-factor authentication turned on and need to enter a security pin, you might need to reconnect.

  4. If you've recently changed your LinkedIn password, you must update those credentials in We-Connect.
