If you do not want to contact specific people using We-Connect, you can blacklist them. For example, if you're a SaaS company, you may want to blacklist your competitors so they do not see your outreach.
How to blacklist a contact:
Step 1: Navigate to the 'Blacklist' page in the settings menu.
You can also add contacts to your blacklist from a number of other contact pages. These include:
Contacts tab of any campaign: Click the 'Contacts' tab on the campaign-overview page, select the contacts, and click the 'Blacklist' icon.
Saved Lists: Click the list name from “My Folder,” choose the contacts, and click the 'Blacklist' icon.
My Contacts: Select the contacts, and click the 'Blacklist' button on the top right of the page. Note that the blacklist button appears after you select the contacts.
Step 2: Click 'Add New' to begin adding a new contact to your blacklist.
Step 3: Select how to add contacts to the blacklist.
There are three options:
Single: Add individual contacts to your blacklist one by one.
Bulk Add: Add a group of contacts with the same criteria to your blacklist.
Import CSV: Add contacts to your blacklist from a CSV file.
Step 4: Select the blacklist type.
When adding contacts using the 'Single' and 'Bulk Add' options, you have a number of options to choose from:
Company: Blacklist contacts based on a company name.
Name: Blacklist contacts based on their name.
Email: Blacklist contacts with a specific email or domain.l
Job Title: Blacklist contacts with a certain job title.
Profile URL: Blacklist selected contacts by pasting their profile URLs.
Step 5: Enter the blacklist criteria.
Once you've selected the blacklist type, you'll need to choose the match and enter a keyword. 'Match' refers to how you want to blacklist contacts.
In the example below, we've blacklisted contacts that work at 'Apple.' If we select the match to be 'Contains,' then we would be blacklisting any contacts that contain the word 'Apple' in their company name.
How to remove contacts from your blacklist:
You can access all your blacklisted contacts from the 'Blacklist' tab in the settings menu. You can follow-along with the steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to the 'Blacklist' tab in the settings menu.
Step 2: Select the blacklist rule (or contact) and click 'Remove.'
Upon selecting one of your blacklist rules, the option to 'Remove' the setting will appear.
