Repetitive syncing between LinkedIn and third-party tools can trigger LinkedIn suspicion. To protect your account, We-Connect uses ‘sleep hours.’ In this article, we’ll explain what sleep hours are, why they exist, and how to set them up.

What are Sleep Hours?

You can think of sleep hours as a regular nightly rest for We-Connect. During sleep hours, We-Connect will not sync to your LinkedIn account. That means messages won’t update, and campaigns will pause. After waking up, We-Connect automatically continues syncing messages & re-starts your campaigns.

Why Do They Exist?

Sleep hours exist on We-Connect for a few safety reasons:

  • Prevent LinkedIn from flagging your account for excessive activity

  • Allow for natural fluctuations in LinkedIn's systems

How Do You Set Up Sleep Hours?

You can set up your sleep hours in the ‘Settings’ tab of the left-side menu bar.

Step 1: Navigate to ‘LinkedIn settings’ in the ‘Settings’ menu of We-Connect.

From the LinkedIn settings page, you can turn on account warmup, change the number of active campaigns, turn on auto-withdrawal, and dictate sleep mode.

Step 2: Choose your sleep hours.

You can set sleep hours at any time during the day. However, we recommend setting them overnight when normal users are not using LinkedIn. Make sure the sleep hours are set to your proper time zone (or the time zone of the audience you are targeting).

Note: Sleep hours must be set for a minimum of 6 hours per day.

Step 3: Save any changes.

Please make sure to save any changes using the 'Save' button at the top right corner of the screen.
