Post Remix is We-Connect’s LinkedIn content management tool that helps you create, schedule, and remix existing LinkedIn posts into content that fits your audience. In this article, we'll walk you through how to set up Post Remix and start scheduling & creating posts.
To get a head start on Post Remix, you can watch this video:
How to draft and schedule a post
You can draft and schedule posts using Post Remix by following these steps:
Step 1: Create a post from one of the following locations:
From the plus icon in the top right corner of We-Connect, click 'Schedule a post.'
From the 'My Feed' tab of We-Connect, click 'New post.'
Step 2: Give your post a title.
The title of your post won't be visible on LinkedIn; this will only be internal inside We-Connect.
Step 3: Select a LinkedIn profile or company page to post from.
Select a connected LinkedIn profile, then choose a target audience (the people on LinkedIn you want to see this post). From there, pick who you want to be able to comment on your post.
If you are making a sponsored post, LinkedIn requires you to mark that post as a brand partnership.
Step 4: Draft your post.
You can create a post in We-Connect in a number of ways:
Choose an AI prompt or enter your own (if you choose this option, you can review the prompt template, add required context, and make any edits to the prompt).
Remix a post (we cover this in the next section).
Of course, you can also write or paste something into the textbox directly.
Step 5: Add attachments, images, or files to accompany your post.
Step 6: Choose to schedule, save your post as a draft, or publish it right away.
How to remix a post
Use Post Remix to turn a popular post about a topic of your choosing into an engaging post of your own.
Step 1: From the 'Trending' tab of Post Remix, select or enter a topic of your choosing and click 'Search.'
Step 2: Find a post you like and click 'Remix.'
You can also change your selected topics from the top menu bar, adding a custom topic or selecting our provided options.
Step 3: Choose a tone and the type of content you want to generate.
Don't worry; you can always edit this later if you are not satisfied with the results.
Step 4: Review the copy and choose to 'Remix' or 'Proceed to post.'
The pop-up on the right side of your screen is an example of a remixed post. You can edit this further on the next page by clicking 'Proceed to post,' or generate a new version by clicking 'Remix.'
Step 4: Finalize your post.
On this page, you can do the following:
Title your post (this won't be visible on LinkedIn)
Choose a LinkedIn profile or company page to post from
Specify who can see and comment on your post
Edit the content manually or with your personalized AI
Step 5: Schedule, save as a draft, or publish your post immediately.
How to manage approval permissions
With Post Remix, you can manage who needs admin approval to publish posts.
Step 1: From the 'My Team' page of the settings menu, edit or invite a new team member.
You can edit existing team members' access to Post Remix by clicking the edit icon and enabling 'Post Remix Settings.' From there, you can choose when you want to auto-approve posts from this user or allow them to approve/deny posts.
When adding new team members, you have the same options to enable post remix and update their posting permissions.
Step 2: Approve or reject posts from the 'Approvals' tab of Post Remix.
When creating new posts, the account admin (or anyone with the necessary permissions) will receive a notification when a user has drafted a post that is ready for review. You can review these posts in the 'Approvals' tab of We-Connect and choose to approve or reject them.
How to track post engagement
You can track key metrics, such as impressions and engagement on your posts to learn what type of content connects best with your audience.
Step 1: From the 'My Feed' tab of Post Remix, click 'Show all reports.'
Step 2: View insights into each post.
On this page, you can view metrics such as:
Impressions
Reactons
Comments
Reposts
Engagement rate (calculated by impressions vs the amount of engagement)
You can filter posts by date as well as sync posts for the most accurate data.
