If you’re a Salesforce user, you’ll be happy to hear that you can integrate We-Connect with Salesforce. Our integration gives you the ability to:
Sync contacts between We-Connect and Salesforce (or vice versa)
Enrich your contact database with information from a contact’s LinkedIn profile
Receive real-time notifications on key campaign events (such as replies or accepted connections)
How to set up We-Connect’s Salesforce integration
You can manage all of We-Connect’s integrations from the ‘Integrations Settings’ tab of the settings menu.
Step 1: Navigate to the ‘Integrations’ tab of the settings menu.
We’ll start in the settings tab of We-Connect. Select “All Apps” to display all available integrations (not including APIs and webhooks).
Step 2: Click ‘Connect’ under Salesforce and choose which account to connect.
Once you have selected ‘Connect,’ a popup will appear, prompting you to select the LinkedIn profile you want to connect with Salesforce.
Step 3: Review access and approve the We-Connect integration on Salesforce.
When you continue, We-Connect will redirect you to Salesforce. From this page, you can give We-Connect access to specific Salesforce data, which is necessary to finish setting up the integration.
Step 4: Click ‘Settings’ under Salesforce to manage your integration.
After approving access, you will be directed back to We-Connect. In the Salesforce box, you’ll notice a yellow exclamation mark, which informs you that you still need to finish setting up the integration.
To do so, click on ‘Settings.’ You can also click ‘Disconnect’ to remove the integration at any time.
Step 5: Map contact properties in both directions.
You’ll need to map contact properties in two directions: from We-Connect to Salesforce and from Salesforce to We-Connect. By default, We-Connect will match properties together (for example, matching ‘first name’ with ‘first name’ and ‘last name’ with ‘last name’).
However, you can map the contact properties in any way you see fit. Additionally, add properties that were not generated by clicking ‘Add a property’ (you can use these new properties in dynamic fields in your messaging).
Once you’re finished with one direction, click next to complete mapping in the other direction.
Step 6: Complete your syncing settings.
A few more syncing settings determine how data flows between We-Connect and Salesforce. After mapping the contact properties, click ‘Next’ to reach the final settings page.
From the ‘Settings’ tab of the Salesforce integration, you can change the following:
Sync direction: Choose between a one-way (only from Salesforce or We-Connect) and two-way sync (data flows between both tools). We recommend two-way sync as it offers the most functionality.
Data priority: Choose to sync only contacts with LinkedIn URLs, emails, or both.
Contact sync (from Salesforce): You can choose how We-Connect handles updated and new contact information. You can also choose to import specific lists from Salesforce.
Contact sync (from We-Connect): Salesforce handles updated and new contact information in various ways. For example, you can import all contacts from specific campaigns or only import contacts based on specific campaign events (such as when a contact replies or is marked as a lead).
Once you’ve adjusted the settings (which can be changed at any time), click ‘Sync and Save’ to start syncing contacts.
If you want to sync Salesforce contacts to a specific list within We-Connect, follow the steps in this article.
