Contact Cleanup Word List

Learn how to enable Contact Cleanup and manage the word list to automatically remove honorifics, credentials, and suffixes from contact names so your campaign messages always sound natural.

Written by Alex

When contacts are imported into We-Connect, their name fields sometimes contain honorifics, credentials, or suffixes that can make personalised messages look unnatural. Contact Cleanup lets you define a list of words to automatically strip from contact names across all your campaigns.

Where to find it

Go to Settings > Content Library > Contact Cleanup.

How it works

Enable Contact Cleanup using the toggle at the top of the page. Once enabled, any word in the list will be automatically removed from contact names before your campaign messages are sent.

We-Connect includes a default word list covering common honorifics and credentials, including mr, ms, mrs, miss, dr, prof, professor, doctor, phd, mba, and other academic and professional titles. These are removed by default when cleanup is enabled.

To add your own words, type them into the field at the bottom of the page and hit Enter to add them to the list.
