AI Settings is where you enable AI Assist, choose your AI provider, and set default language and tone preferences for AI-generated content across We-Connect.

Overview

The AI Settings page controls account-level AI behavior. These settings act as defaults for every AI feature in We-Connect, including Post Remix, message generation, auto-reply, and thread summaries.

Individual business snapshots can override the language and tone set here. If a snapshot has its own language or tone selected, AI will use the snapshot's settings whenever that snapshot is active. Otherwise, the defaults from AI Settings apply.

Accessing AI Settings

Step 1: Click the settings icon in the left sidebar.

Step 2: Select AI Assist, then choose AI Settings.

Enabling AI

Toggle Enable AI on to activate AI Assist features for your account. When AI is disabled, features like Post Remix, AI-generated messages, and auto-reply will not be available.

Applying settings across accounts

Next to the Enable AI toggle, use the dropdown to choose the scope of your settings:

  • Apply only for current account: AI Settings apply only to the LinkedIn account you're currently viewing. Other accounts on your plan keep their own independent settings.

  • Apply AI settings to all accounts: The same AI Settings apply to every LinkedIn account on your plan.

Only account owners and team users with appropriate permissions can change these settings or apply them across accounts. If you don't see the scope dropdown, check with your account owner.

AI Provider

Choose which AI engine powers your AI Assist features.

  • We-Connect AI (Auto-Optimized): Our native AI, tuned for LinkedIn outreach and messaging. This is the default and recommended option for most users.

  • External AI Vendor: Coming soon. This option will let you connect your own AI provider.

AI provider selection is only available on the AI Settings page. It cannot be set at the snapshot level.

AI Behavior

These settings control how AI writes on your behalf. They apply as defaults across all AI features, and can be overridden inside individual business snapshots.

AI Language

Select the language AI should use when generating content. All AI-generated text (messages, posts, replies, summaries) will be produced in this language unless a snapshot overrides it.

Tone of Writing

Choose the communication style that matches your brand:

  • Professional: Formal and business-focused

  • Friendly: Warm and approachable

  • Optimistic: Positive and enthusiastic

  • Casual: Relaxed and conversational

  • Informative: Educational and detailed

  • My style: Coming soon. Will let you train AI on your own writing samples.

Voice note

Coming soon. You'll be able to upload audio samples so AI can match your natural speaking tone and style in generated content.

How AI Settings Work with Business Snapshots

AI Settings provide the defaults. Business snapshots can override the language and tone on a per-snapshot basis, which is useful when you run outreach for different markets or audiences from the same account.

For example, you might set your account-level tone to Professional for most outreach, but have a snapshot for startup founder outreach that uses a Casual tone. Whenever AI generates content using that snapshot, it uses Casual. For everything else, it falls back to Professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can change AI Settings? Account owners and team users with appropriate permissions. If you don't have access, contact your account owner.

What happens if I disable AI? All AI Assist features stop working until AI is re-enabled. Existing business snapshots are preserved and will be active again once AI is turned back on.

Do my AI Settings apply to every campaign? Yes, by default. Campaign-specific auto-replies use the business snapshot assigned to that campaign, which can override the language and tone from AI Settings.
